Scope
Before quoting
The existing carpet or floor, the affected area and whether the material can be reused successfully.
Movement, renovation work, damaged edges, joins, moisture or another issue affecting the finish.
The practical repair, refit or replacement options and what will give the room a tidy result.
Work with what you have
You do not always need a whole new floor. A re-stretch addresses loose carpet; a refit puts suitable existing carpet back after it has been lifted or the room has changed. The right option depends on the carpet, the edges and the floor underneath.
Start with photos of the whole room and the affected area. The carpet's condition, joins and cause of the movement need checking before re-stretching is recommended. A damaged backing or an underlying floor problem may call for different work.
Tell Scott Flooring what changed: a wall, wardrobe, doorway or adjoining floor. Keep any spare matching carpet. Available material, join positions and transitions determine whether a tidy refit is possible.
A bedroom, hallway or small vinyl area is a welcome enquiry. You do not need a whole-house order. Send your room dimensions, photos and West Auckland suburb to discuss the next step.
Smaller spaces
In a compact home, door clearances, kitchen edges and the change from living space to bedroom matter. Send a floor plan or a simple sketch, room sizes and access photos. Carpet, sheet vinyl or LVT can be considered for the rooms and existing floor; suitability is checked before ordering.

Tell Scott Flooring whether you already have flooring, whether the old floor needs lifting, and if furniture will need moving. Preparation, removal, disposal, trims and access can affect the job. Ask for the agreed scope and timing to be clear in your quote.
Customer-supplied flooring needs a suitability check before installation can be confirmed. Send the product name and a photo with your enquiry.
Before you book
A re-stretch may help if the carpet is still suitable to reuse. Its condition, edges, joins and the reason it has loosened need checking first. Damaged carpet or an underlying floor problem may need a different approach. Send a room photo and a close-up of the ripples.
Yes. Refitting enquiries are welcome after changes to walls, wardrobes or doorways. The new layout affects the carpet available, joins and edge finishes. Keep any spare matching carpet and send photos so Scott Flooring can assess whether the existing carpet can be reused.
Yes. Single bedrooms, small rooms, re-stretches and renovation refits are welcome across West Auckland. You deal directly with your installer. Send approximate room dimensions, photos and your suburb to discuss the work and arrange the next step.
Mention furniture, appliances and anything difficult to move when you enquire. Access to the floor affects the work, so agree what needs moving and who will handle it before the booking. Do not assume furniture moving is included in the quote.
Size is only one part of the quote. Carpet condition, joins, stairs, floor preparation, removal, trims, materials and access can all affect the work. Scott Flooring confirms the scope before booking, including which materials and fitting tasks are included.
Timing depends on the work and the product used. Any adhesive, smoothing or preparation system may need time before foot traffic, furniture or appliances return. Ask for the room-specific timing when the work is agreed; there is no single waiting period for every floor.
