Questions about sheet vinyl and lvt.
Do you install hardwood flooring?
No. Scott Flooring does not install hardwood flooring. Timber-look options offered here are vinyl or luxury vinyl tile (LVT), not solid timber or engineered wood flooring.
What affects the cost of a small vinyl job?
The existing surface, preparation, removal of old flooring, trims, access and chosen vinyl matter as well as room size. Send room photos and approximate dimensions so the quote can set out the work and materials needed.
What is the difference between sheet vinyl and LVT?
Sheet vinyl is fitted from a roll, while luxury vinyl tile (LVT) comes as individual tiles or planks. Room shape, joins, subfloor condition and the chosen product influence which format and installation method suit the space.
Can you fit vinyl in a kitchen or laundry?
Yes. Send photos of the room and existing floor. Moisture exposure, appliances, door clearances and product suitability need checking before installation and preparation can be quoted.
Can new vinyl go over my existing floor?
It depends on the existing material, condition, flatness and the new product's installation requirements. A surface check is needed before deciding whether the old covering can remain or needs removal.
